The Dominican Republic is known for its extraordinary beaches and exquisite resorts. However, just outside the resort walls, extreme poverty and discrimination exist.
Haitians live and work in unbearable conditions in the remote villages of the sugar cane fields. Many of the native Dominicans also live in extreme poverty. But poverty is more than material: it is also spiritual. Most have yet to encounter the radical grace that is offered to us all at the Cross.

Dominican and Haitian Christians are suffering because they lack quality medical care. God is bringing together the resources to support our brothers and sisters in the sugar cane fields in the Dominican Republic.
